The project was designed as a master template for consolidating all five regional sites into a single global Shopify build, leveraging Shopify Markets to centralise operations and give the marketing team cleaner data, clearer dashboards and far more efficient decision-making.
Benchfoods was also shifting from a primarily commercial and industrial customer base to a much broader consumer market, selling to a fast-growing community of home users and food-dehydration enthusiasts. To support this pivot, we prioritised showcasing user-generated content. Their marketing team had invested heavily in building a strong tribe and affiliate network, so the new site needed to hero this community with rich video content, testimonial blocks and strong social-proof sections throughout.
The brand’s wider goal was to create the strongest possible eCommerce foundation—one optimised for conversion, ready to scale internationally and capable of supporting larger marketing budgets with confidence.
This project also served as the launchpad for Benchfoods’ expansion into wider Europe and as the testing ground for migrating the remaining regional sites into the unified system.

One of the major challenges of the project was the need to customise the Shopify checkout. We developed a fully integrated, bespoke checkout experience that aligned all of the company’s internal systems and enabled a complete suite of international payment options. This ensured a seamless experience for customers across every region.
With all CRO opportunities maximised, the new site now delivers a significantly stronger user journey. The European launch has already seen traffic and purchases from countries that had never engaged with Benchfoods before, confirming the effectiveness of the new build and its international positioning.
Visual storytelling plays a much larger role in the redesign, with high-quality imagery and video now heroing the site. The shift towards a lifestyle-led look and feel helps connect customers to the outcomes of using the product, tapping into emotional decision-making and supporting higher conversions.
With early data showing strong performance and untapped markets converting well, this build has become the foundation for migrating Benchfoods’ remaining regional sites onto Shopify.
